Agricultural machinery event shines in the millennium capital, promoting industry development with the integration of parts and intelligence

On August 22, 2017, the 2017 China Agricultural Machinery Parts Industry Summit was held in Luoyang, Henan. The summit was hosted by the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association and undertaken by China First Tractor Group Co., Ltd. and the Parts Branch of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association. The theme of the conference was "Collective Wisdom, Forging Ahead."
Academician Chen Xuegeng of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Wang Erlong, Party Secretary of China First Tractor Group Co., Ltd., delivered speeches at the meeting. Chen Zhi, President of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association; Wang Tao, Director of the Atmospheric Environment Management Department of the Ministry of Environmental Protection; Ning Xuegui, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association; and Zhao Yanshui, Chairman of China First Tractor Group, delivered keynote speeches. The meeting was chaired by Li Junnian, President of the Parts Branch of the China Agricultural Machinery Association and Chairman of Guhe Transmission. Nearly 500 people attended the meeting, including Wang Yurong, Executive Vice General Manager of Lovol Heavy Industry; Zhang Jinwang, CEO of Keleshou Shandong Company; Jiang Wenjuan, General Manager of Wuzheng Group; and Zhang Guobin, General Manager of China Nongbo Yuan.
Chen Zhi, President of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, stated in his speech on "Challenges, Opportunities, and Strategies for China's Agricultural Machinery Industry under the New Situation" that China's agricultural machinery industry has entered a period of deep adjustment but has not yet entered a "new normal." It is now restoring its proper image as a market economy, with development speed returning to rationality from high-speed growth, entering a low-speed balanced development. In terms of development methods, it is shifting from extensive quantity-based supplementation to innovation-driven, high-end technology development; in terms of competitive landscape, domestic competition is becoming internationalized, with 147 large-scale foreign-funded enterprises in China, accounting for 7.97%; and in terms of industry structure, emerging sub-sectors are developing rapidly, some industrial clusters are initially formed, leading enterprises are experiencing rapid growth, and structural adjustment is accelerating.
Chen Zhi believes that under the new situation, rigid demand will support the steady development of the agricultural machinery industry. This is because ensuring national food security requires agricultural machinery support, structural shortages of agricultural labor require solutions from agricultural machinery, the full mechanization process needs to cultivate new agricultural machinery industries, the development of moderately scaled land management will also promote the upgrading of agricultural machinery product structures, guarantee effective supply, increase the scope of import substitution, the Internet+ will give birth to new agricultural machinery industry formats, and at the same time, "Made in China 2025," key special projects for intelligent agricultural machinery equipment, the three-year action plan to enhance the core competitiveness of manufacturing industries and the industrial ecological environment will all drive the upgrading of the agricultural machinery industry. He suggested that enterprises handle the relationship between corporate positioning and strategic adjustments, market size and operating efficiency, sales Price and product quality, innovation investment and technological breakthroughs, and achieve healthy development.
Ning Xuegui, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, introduced national agricultural machinery industry policies and the results of an investigation of European agricultural machinery enterprises. Zhao Yanshui, Chairman of China First Tractor Group, introduced the situation of the First Tractor Group building a harmonious ecological circle. Yang Qing, Vice President of AGCO Corporation; Zhou Shun, Chief Representative in China of the Swiss West Economic Development Agency; and Huang Ying, China Market Director of Parker Hannifin, delivered presentations on topics such as precision agricultural equipment and core parts upgrades, and opportunities and challenges for cooperation between Chinese and European agricultural machinery enterprises.
